What is safe to cite, and what isn't.
These materials are used in real classrooms, so the citation status of every subject is stated rather than implied. The short version is below; the detail is in the table under it.
The one-paragraph answer
Mathematics is the only subject verified expectation by expectation. Every specific code in every grade was read directly from the Ministry expectations chart, and those codes are safe to put in a report card comment, a long-range plan or an IEP. Everything else is cited at strand level, or at overall-expectation level where that could be confirmed. Health, French and the Arts carry strand names only and no codes at all — deliberately, not by oversight. Each book repeats its own status on its final page.

Two findings worth knowing if you use third-party resources.
The 2022 Science curriculum renamed several strands, and most third-party material still carries the
2007 titles — Grade 6's Electrical Phenomena, Energy, and Devices is routinely printed as
the 2007 “Electricity and Electrical Devices”, and Grade 7's Form, Function, and Design of
Structures as “Form and Function”. Grade 8 is the exception: its four strand names came
back identical across every source checked, so for that grade alone a resource's strand name can be
taken at face value.
Coverage, by grade
Every mathematics expectation in every grade is covered in both the book and the game, confirmed by a two-pass audit — first that a code is tagged, then that the sheet or activity actually practises it. The second pass is the one that finds problems.

How to use these in a classroom
Printing
- US Letter, portrait, single-sided — single-sided leaves room to work.
- Answer keys are the last pages of each math book, so they can be held back.
- Every book's final page is its verification notice.
- No page requires colour to be legible.
The games
- Single-page apps, one file each. No install, no sign-in, no internet needed after download.
- Progress is stored per grade in the browser, so one device can hold several grades.
- No timers and no losing. Wrong answers cost nothing; a Show me appears after two tries.
- Motion can be turned off, and OS-level reduced-motion is respected.
Assessment language
- Level 3 is meeting the grade expectations, and is the goal.
- Level 4 is depth, transfer to the unfamiliar, and the quality of the reasoning.
- The open-ended sheets assess Thinking and Application; accuracy alone is Level 3.
- In the senior grades, Level 4 usually looks like a student naming what their own work does not show.
Known gaps
- Language, Health, French and the Arts have now been read against the Ministry documents themselves — strand architecture confirmed in all four, and every expectation code these guides cite checked one at a time.
- That audit corrected real errors, the largest being that Grade 4 and Grade 5 had the Arts principle of design swapped. Grade 4 is emphasis; Grade 5 is proportion.
- The Grade 7 and Grade 8 focuses, previously unnamed here, are confirmed: unity and harmony in Grade 7, movement in Grade 8.
- The Grade 6–8 Language and Health sections have since been rewritten against the Ministry PDFs, expectation by expectation. French is the last gap in Grades 6–8 and is still strand-level.

Permission, privacy, and what to tell your board
Everything a school or board review usually asks, answered in one place.
You may just use it
- Licensed CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Print class sets, put the files on a shared drive, email a book to a parent, adapt a sheet, translate one.
- No permission needed, no registration, no licence fee, ever.
- Three conditions: credit perfectmarks.ca, don't sell the materials, and share any adaptation on the same terms. Recovering real printing costs is fine.
- Curriculum expectation codes and quoted wording remain © King's Printer for Ontario. These are not official ministry publications, and are not endorsed by the Ministry or by EQAO.
What leaves the device, and what never does
- No accounts, no sign-in, no email address is ever requested — not by any book, app or page.
- Google Analytics counts visits. Each page loads Google's measurement script, which sets analytics cookies and reports standard visit data — such as pages viewed, browser type and approximate location — to Google. Google is the only outside party a page contacts: typefaces come from this site itself, and a downloaded copy used offline contacts nothing.
- Games remember stars and comfort settings in the browser's own local storage, on that device only. It never travels, and clearing site data clears it.
- Nothing a child writes or answers is transmitted, stored off-device, or seen by anyone. Safe for a shared classroom device.
