A note on versions
PeopleCert launched ITIL Foundation (Version 5) in February 2026. ITIL 4 Foundation is still fully available and remains a valid prerequisite for higher-level qualifications; the current plan is to retire the ITIL 4 modules on 31 December 2027. Sitting ITIL 4 now is sound, and a one-day Foundation Bridge exists if you later want the v5 badge. Check the current position with PeopleCert before you book — certification schemes move, and this page will not always move with them.
How this material is made — and what it isn’t
The same standard the rest of the site is held to: say what was done, and say what wasn’t.
- The questions are original. They are written to the published ITIL 4 Foundation syllabus and to the question styles the exam actually uses — standard, list, missing word, negative. They are not reproductions of live or official sample papers, and nobody here has seen a live paper.
- They are weighted to the published blueprint. Every full paper is 5 / 6 / 2 / 1 / 2 / 7 / 17 across the seven learning outcomes, which is where the real marks sit. The console draws its exam simulation to the same weighting.
- Every question carries its reasoning. Not just the right answer — why the near-miss option is a near-miss, which is the part that transfers to a question you haven’t seen.
- Your answers stay yours. No account. Google Analytics counts visits, and Google is the only third party the console talks to; your answers live in your browser’s own storage, on your own device, and you can clear them from the console’s footer.
- This is not accredited training. perfectmarks.ca is not affiliated with, endorsed by or accredited by AXELOS or PeopleCert, and none of this counts toward a training requirement. It is practice material, nothing more.
Why this has its own wing
A certification candidate and a Grade 3 family are not the same reader.
Kept off the Grades 1–8 shelf, deliberately
The shelf catalogues the Ontario curriculum collection, and its counts mean something precise: books, sheets, apps, grade bands. Professional material would quietly corrupt all of that. So it lives here instead, with its own front door, its own accent colour and its own counts.
Room for the next one
ITIL 4 Foundation is the first, not the only intended occupant. Anything added here will follow the same rules: original material, free forever, working offline from a single file, and honest about the difference between practice and the real assessment.
